Freelance Writer Business Cards
If you are a freelance writer, you know that getting editors to appreciate your work can be a tough business. However, the following tips might be able to get your work in front of my editors!
Try the following on your business cards:
1. Add URL’s to stories of interest.
If you wrote a really popular article last year, put that on the back of your business cards. Obviously don’t put the whole article, just the title and the magazine it was featured in. If it was featured on a website, put the address of the site it was on.
2. Show your website address.
You do have a website right? If not, you’re way behind the times and need to get started! Wordpress is a free blog platform that is easy to use, even for the novice. Make posts is easy and can highlight any part of your career you want. You show potential employers only what you want them to see.
3. Do something different.
I have met about 10 freelance writers, all of them say the same thing. It usually goes like this, “I can write on any subject. I prefer to write about this and that, but am flexible.” Boring.
Make yourself stand out by saying something like, “I can write the best articles about aircraft because I was a pilot, went to aircraft technician school, and have been writing in that industry for 10 years.”
That will make you stand out much more, and set you apart.
Hopefully you’ll be able to use those 3 tips to not only increase your business, but also get you writing about your favorite subjects!

Massage Therapist Business Cards
Being a massage therapist has it’s benefits. Most of the time you can work from home, or at least set your own schedule. This method of work also has downsides, clientele can be hard to find…
With a few changes to your business cards, finding clients will be easier.
1. Add pressure points with pictures to the back of your business cards. This will let people know where their pressure points are.
2. Add your prices to the back of your business cards. Pricing take the mystery out of your massage business and will make people more likely to call.
3. Use a coupon code. If you say, “Mention coupon code ‘April 2007′ and get 10% off!” You’ll be able to instantly know what kind of return you’re getting for your business cards.
Try those tips and let me know if you need more!

Tax Accountant/CPA Business Card Ideas
If you are a CPA or a tax accountant, then you know that getting clients can be tough business. However, a few changes to your business cards and you could be getting new clients all throughout the year, not just in April.
Here are a few ideas to make your business cards more important and useful to your clients.
1. Tax deadlines. You could add deadlines for personal tax filing, and quarterly times for businesses. You could also try a few suggested tax times that aren’t as busy for your business clients.
2. Acronym explanations. Each industry has it’s own set of acronyms. Many people don’t know what these acronyms stand for or what the meaning behind them is. This could be a useful bit of information for your clients.
3. Money saving tips. If your clients could be saving money at tax time by just doing a few simple things, let them know. For example, if they have a part time business, can they write down their mileage and business expenses and write those off as deductions? Could an individual make a donation to the Salvation Army and deduct the value of those goods? Let them know how they can save money and they’ll keep your card around.
Hopefully these simple ideas will get the ball rolling for your own ideas and will help you get more clients just by using your business cards more effectively!

Auto Mechanics Business Cards
Many mechanics, whether they work for a company or not, do work on the side usually at home. If this is you, and you’re always looking for more business to make ends meet or put a little more money in your pocket, then this tip is for you.
Instead of just putting a car on your business card like most mechanics would, make your business card useful by adding information that people will want to have. This will make them keep your business card, and hopefully remind them of you when their car breaks down.
Here are some ideas for useful information for the back of your mechanic business card:
1. Maintenance Schedules - This could be the time between oil changes, coolant flushes, tire rotation, timing belt replacements, etc.
2. Suggested Winterization - If you like to winterize cars before the snow hits, this could be a great idea, especially if you’re in the northern part of the country where the snow falls fast and heavy.
3. Tips for improving gas mileage - If a few simple tips like keeping the oil clean and air filters replaced will add to the MPG of your client, let them know by putting that information on your business card.
4. Tips to improve vehicle life - If a majority of cars break down because of poor care, make sure your customers know that they can keep their car on the road by following your simple steps.
Whichever of these ideas you take, make sure that one of them includes a service that you provide. After all, wouldn’t it be a waste if you didn’t get any additional business as a result?

Daycare Business Cards
If you run a daycare, business cards are probably the last thing on your mind. You have to deal with kids, parents, employees, food, cleaning, buying supplies and a million other things.
So I’m going to help make this easy for you. Here are a few ideas for your business cards.
1. Keep them kid friendly. Make the fonts colorful and the business cards colorful as well.
2. Put some helpful information on them. You could print a recipe for a good healthy snack on the back of your business cards. In fact, you might want to print 4 batches of 250 each so that you can print 4 unique recipes on your business cards.
3. Sell yourself. Make sure potential clients know why you are better than the other daycare’s and what you do different. Do you serve full meals while the competition doesn’t? Do you have a safe and secure play yard in the back? What sets you apart?
4. Give a call to action. “Call now and get 2 weeks free!” “10% off your monthly bill if you mention this promotion!” These will cost you a little, but will also turn “lookers” into “buyers”.
Using those 4 simple business card techniques, your daycare business could expand more than you ever imagined!
