Free Business Cards Comparison Coming Soon
Free Business Cards Comparison Coming Soon
I have decided to order some free business cards.
I am going to place an order with as many places offering free business cards. I’ll document the order process, the sales process, the difficulty and quality of the free business cards.
Come back tomorrow for the first segment in the free business cards comparison.
Here is a list of the competitors so far:
1. VistaPrint
VistaPrint is known for their free business card offer. They offer about 42 free business card templates to choose from. VistaPrint offers pages in about 15 different lanuages, some of which I can’t even pronounce.
VistaPrint claims to have over 6 million satisfied customers, let’s see if I am one of them.
2. DCP-Print
I’ll start off by saying I have no idea what DCP means, but they are one of two companies that offer free business cards, so who cares what the DCP stands for!
Right off the bat I notice that DCP offers hundreds of free business card designs. Many more than VistaPrint offered, hopefully I can find some nice templates.
Apparently those are the only two companies that offer free business cards.
If you know of any other companies that offer free business cards to the public, let me know and I’ll review them as well.
See you tomorrow for the ordering process review!

Marketing to the New Farm Generation
Around my area there are many farmers. Most of these farmers are getting older and their children are beginning to run the farming business full time.
With this new generation comes a technological group that wants to do things the easy way as opposed to, “The way things have always been done.”
This group buys grape harvesters, box drills, and GPS guided, Air Conditioned mechanical planters.
This group also goes to farm shows to see the new equipment, and they don’t just buy from the hometown store anymore. This group buys where they get the best deal, including the internet.
How do you hold market share with this new group? The same way you did with their fathers.
This new generation wants to be shown special respect for their dollars spent, and you can give them that.
Your business cards are as important as ever. You need to realize that this younger generation needs to see your value immediately, not in 10 years. You need to “wow” them with what you can offer them immediately.
If you sell farm equipment, show them the value of having to employee less employees and immediately cutting payroll costs.
If you sell new fertilizer, show them how much more money they will get out of the crop by using your fertilizer.
Most of all, give them at least one business card, and leave them with the phrase, “Call me when you are ready to take your farm to the next level.”
That, after all, is what this next generation of farmer is ready to do!

Half Size Business Cards
Have you seen these half size business cards yet?
They are exactly half the size of a normal business card, almost perfectly square. For some reason they are all the rage around my area.
I don’t see very many good things about half size business cards except that they can be stored easier and they are different.
Being different can be a good thing especially if you are on the cutting edge of a trend.
However, with different sizes of business cards, especially smaller cards, you lose valuable real estate.
Business cards are marketing tools and if you only have half of that tool, you are definitely selling your marketing short!
Next time you see a trendy business card, think about it’s impact on your marketing before buying.

Spreading Your Marketing Message
At most companies about 80% of employees have business cards.
Most business owners know this because they hate having to buy cards for these employees every year.
However, instead of seeing this as a money pit, think of it as free marketing.
There is a large newspaper in the Kansas City area that gives out a free 4 week trial to their newspaper.
This newspaper has this offer printed on the back of every card that an employee has.
This is a great idea because it turns your once useless cost, business cards, into a productive marketing tool!
If you have a retail store, consider offering a percentage discount to all new customers.
Something like:
15% Off For All New Customers!
Good for new customers, only can be used once.
You are getting new customers in your store and you are also helping to recoup the cost of printing business cards.
Next time you see the bill for your business cards, think about it as a potentially powerful marketing tool!

The Point of Using Business Cards
Self-marketing through the use of business cards is an excellent way to introduce yourself, promote your business and increase your cash flow over time!
Business cards are meant to make an impression.
Never leave your home or office without your business cards.
No matter where you go during your day, carry a minimum of 10 business cards with you. You never know where in life you might run into someone who might be interested in your goods or services.
Give your business cards out to everyone you encounter.
Family, friends and work associates can always redistribute your information to people they know who might inquire about your work.
Don’t miss the opportunity to network through the use of the business card. If this means handing out two or three cards per person, so be it.
Don’t hoard your own business cards or else nobody will ever do business with you. When exchanging business cards with someone, always ask for one of their own in return.
Not many people ask for a business card in return, and it’s an excellent way to make connections with a person who may have a good or service you can utilize in your own life.
Take a few moments to read over their business card, jot down notes during your conversation and ask questions if you feel any details are left unclear. Christmas Cards
Following up with your business card exchange is the easiest way to make a lasting impression on anyone you encounter that you hope will do business with you in the future.
Your primary goal is to hand out as many business cards as humanly possible.
By networking your name out to the public, you will gain exposure. This exposure will eventually increase the amount of work on your plate.
Self-marketing through the use of business cards is an excellent way to introduce yourself, promote your business and increase your cash flow over time.
